Green New World’s Mission

Green New World is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing autonomous and regenerative residential models such as Project HOPE that empowers people to live an ecological and carbon free lifestyle. Green New World is committed to research, design and education of novel regenerative methods and technology that provide solutions to energy, water, waste, shelter and food production. Our designs utilize an integrative whole system approach to integrate technologies from various fields such as biomimicry, permaculture design, holistic sciences, vernacular architecture, biophilia and biotechture. Green New World's first carbon negative residential prototype, HOPEone is anticipated to be completed by 2019.

Biophilic HomesBiophilic Building Design To design, develop and teach autonomous residential prototypes that collect all the water, generate all the renewable energy, process all the biowaste while providing organic fertilizer and sequestering carbon dioxide.

- Integrative biophilic building design

- Passive thermal regulation

- Sustainable and renewable energy, water and waste systems

- Styles and materials: cob, adobe, superadobe, waddle and daub, bamboo and timbre.

Holistic WaterHolistic Water Systems To design, build and teach holistic and sustainable water systems with emphasis on residential collection, conservation and treatement systems including greywater recycling and water reclamation.

- Holistic water purification

- Residential water recylcing and reclamation design

- Water catchment: ocean, rain and air-moisture

Renewable EnergyRenewable Energy Solutions To develop, design and teach hybrid renewable energy systems for homes. Along side established technology such as solar, geothermal and wind we are focusing on residential bioenergy integration into a whole systems design with water, waste and energy.

- Renwable electric energy: photovoltaic, wind, biogas, thermo electric, hydrogen

- Heating energy systems: solar, geothermal, biogas, biomass

- Biophilic residential DC Systems

- Multifunctional biofuel stoves and gasifiers

- Hybrid renewable energy systems

- Residential photobioreactors

Zero WasteZero Waste Systems To design, teach and build waste processing strategies that focus on minimizing use of non-biodegradable materials and maximize the recycling capacity of biodegradable wastes to create closed loop cycles with a beneficial carbon foot print.

- Ecological closed loop sewage biotreatment systems

- Carbon negative biomass gasification

- Anaerobic biodigestion reactors (biogas production)

- Indoor and outdoor greywater biofilters

Food ProductionRegenerative Landscape Design and Food Production To design, teach and install holistically sustainable food prodcution systems with attention to small scale local farms, self-sufficient homesteads, communities and eco villages.

- Bio-intensive organic farming

- Permaculture based landscape design

- Self-sufficient perenial polycultures

- Carbon negative soil management

- Regenerative Landscape and watershed design

- Intentional Microclimate design
